"She was everything we needed — our hype squad, our organizer, and even a shoulder to lean on when things got overwhelming.
The photographs she delivered are a perfect reflection of our day, capturing every emotion and moment we’ll cherish forever. Nicole will always hold a special place in our hearts for being such an unforgettable part of our wedding."
"Whether you have known her for years or you are meeting her for the first time on your wedding day, I guarantee she will make you feel like you have someone in your corner to guide you and support you in any way possible throughout your wedding planning journey and day. Nicole is truly one of a kind, and I don’t say that lightly. She is passionate about what she does, and it is undoubtedly evident through the beautiful work she creates."
I get it—choosing a photographer is a lot. You’ve probably got a dozen tabs open, bouncing between galleries, reviews, and Pinterest boards, wondering who’s actually going to understand & Invest into you and your day.
My goal? To make this feel simple, honest, and clear—so you can figure out if I’m your person or not. No pressure. Just the real info, so you can move forward with confidence (and close a few tabs while you’re at it).
You deserve more than a vendor with a camera—you deserve someone who gives a damn. I’m not just here to snap a few pretty pictures and dip. I’m in this with you. From the moment you inquire to long after the last dance, I’m investing in who you are and how your love feels.
I take the time to know what matters to you—what makes you laugh, what grounds you, who your people are—so when the day comes, I’m not just some stranger in the room. I’m a trusted presence, a calm energy, and your personal hype woman. I show up early, stay present, and document not just what it looked like, but how it felt to be there.
Because I don’t believe in copy-paste galleries. I believe your story deserves to be told honestly, with intention, and a whole lot of heart.
“We want photos that help us feel the day again—not just see it.”
I focus on feeling over perfection, capturing real, fleeting, joy-filled moments that age with meaning. You want photos that look and feel like you. Not awkward. Not overly staged. Don’t worry—I’ve got you. I’ll guide when it helps and step back when it matters. I focus on movement and connection — most of the time, you won’t even notice the camera.
“We’re overwhelmed with options and don’t know who to trust.”
Totally get it. There are so many photographers out there, and it’s a big decision. You’re not just booking someone to take pictures—you’re inviting someone into your day, your story, your inner circle.
You deserve to feel 100% sure about who you choose. Not just because you love their work, but because you connect with them as a human. If something about my photos or the way I show up here already feels like you—trust that. I’m not here to be the “right” fit for everyone, just the right one for you.
“We’re not sure how to act or pose—we just want to feel like ourselves.”
I hear this all the time. And honestly? Same. Being in front of a camera can feel weird if you’re not used to it—but that’s where I come in. I rely on movement and natural prompts that help you loosen up and just be together. No stiff poses or forced smiles here. Think: walking hand-in-hand, twirling in the grass, laughing mid-kiss. Think play vs. pose. You don’t need to practice or bring a shot list. Just show up as you are. I’ll guide you through it in a way that feels easy, honest, and like you.
“We don’t want our day to feel like a photoshoot.”
Your wedding day isn’t a performance—it’s your day. You want to be present, soaking it all in, not spending hours posing or worrying about the camera. That’s why I keep things relaxed and natural. Before your day, we’ll chat through your timeline, drawing on my 10 years of experience to make sure there’s plenty of space for real moments—not just posed shots. I know when to gently guide and when to step back and let things unfold. My job is to quietly capture the magic as it happens, so you can be fully in your day, feeling every bit of it.

Very Real Concerns
Photos like these become part of your legacy. They’re what you’ll pass down. What you’ll come back to when life moves too fast. They’ll remind you of who you are, how it felt, and just how deeply you loved in that season.
That’s what I want for you—not just images, but something that feels like home. Something that gets better with time.
So if you’re looking for someone who’s all in with you—not just behind the lens, but in your corner every step of the way—you’re in the right place.
Details on my Process,
The Warm-up to wedding day, engagement session
A chance for us to get to know each other, shake off the nerves, and have a dang good time before your big day. Engagement sessions are about way more than photographs—they’re about getting comfy in front of the camera, learning how I shoot & time for me to truly know and understand you two, and building that trust so day-of feels like I’m just your professional third wheel (with snacks, stories about my dogs, kids, and husband, and a camera I never put down).
Because let’s be real—no one wants a total stranger all up in their space for 8+ hours. This time together helps you feel relaxed, confident, and like you.
I highly encourage being your weird, wonderful selves. Wanna shake your ass in a freshly harvested field? Do it. Wanna pop champagne and scream “WE’RE FREAKIN’ GETTING MARRIED” at the top of your lungs? I’m there. This is a judgment-free, all-in, celebrate-you space.
Each session is completely tailored to your story. Location? Up to you (with my help if you want it). Outfits? Totally your call—I’ll help guide you if you’re stuck. The goal is for everything to feel like you.
Sessions can be quick and sweet at 30 minutes or we can hang until the sun goes down—especially if we’re chasing golden light or down to sip a couple beers after you’ve officially made out in a meadow. Whatever feels right for your vibe, I’m here for it.
Milestone check-ins for planning, prepping, catching up, & support
Photography timelines rely heavily on the timeline your entire wedding day team requires. The moving pieces for photo/video, hair and makeup, your caterer(s), DJ, and anyone else you invite to play a role on your day comes into play here. Another big piece of planning for your photography timeline is sunset. All of these things will be a part of our 6 month check-in questionnaire. A perfect opportunity for me to build out a rough draft based on what we have thus far — which also means the perfect time to start planning for your ceremony start time on your invites!
3 months to-go & we’ll pop on a call to go over the rough draft timeline I built out based on your 6 month questionnaire. Any updates, changes, additions, wants, needs, dreams— you name it, we’re adding it in! This is also a perfect time to circle back to your coverage hours in the event you two want me to stay late for your final last dance, with just you two on the dancefloor; or, if you two are considering a second photographer to join the team for a second perspective on your day!
When the 30 day countdown hits, we’ll touch base on the fine-tuned timeline we hashed out around 3 months for our 1 month check-in. Just as we did at 3 months, all of those wants, needs, dreams come into play here. If you two built out a new priority check list and want to make shifts or changes to what we fine-tuned 2 months ago, let’s do it! We’ll also have another dance party because wedding day is only a month away! This is also the time I’ll check in with you two if there is anything you need me to manage day of. If I need to wrangle wedding party, family, be a shoulder to lean on or brainstorm — I’m here. I’ve done this once or twice (okay, maybe 118+ times), so don’t hold back. I’m happy to help in any capacity I can, even outside of photography.
Holy wedding week! When the week gets here, we’ll start the celebrations early. I am solely yours when this time begins, for last minute changes to your photography timeline, an SOS for your DIY centerpieces, and anything else that may (or may not) arise.
Wedding day is here — your only job is to remain present in the moment. I’ll handle the rest.

"I have known Nicole for many years now and first and foremost, she is a beautiful person inside and out. Her kindness radiates in every room she is in! When my now husband and I got engaged back in 2023, there was not a doubt or question in my mind who I wanted as our wedding photographer; Nicole Kilday!!!!! Prior to getting engaged, I would be on Instagram and Facebook truly just waiting for new sets of wedding photos from her to be posted on her professional pages. The candidness and realness of her photos were beyond beautiful and awe-filled. I knew that when I looked back on my future wedding photos, I wanted them to be real life moments that I could go back in time and look at through photos, and truly remember exactly how it felt to be in that moment. To make a long point short, Nicole’s art is the epitome of life, love, candidness, and real moments captured. On top of allllll of that, being in Nicole’s presence truly gave me a sense of calm and reassurance. I remember being so unbelievably calm the morning of my wedding, and I truly think I have Nicole to thank for alot of that. Whether you have known her for years or you are meeting her for the first time on your wedding day, I guarantee she will make you feel like you have someone in your corner to guide you and support you in any way possible throughout your wedding planning journey and day. Nicole is truly one of a kind, and I don’t say that lightly. She is passionate about what she does, and it is undoubtedly evident through the beautiful work she creates."

"Nicole is the literal BEST there is. She does it all & has the best personality. She’s not only your photographer, she’s also your go to for a last minute grocery store run when you forget something on your big day, the one to find a whole new location for photos when your original is under a severe weather watch, & your hype woman no matter what. Her skills are top tier & there is truly no one like her. If you’re looking for a fun, on the dance floor & also crying with you photographer - she’s your girl. Cannot wait for her to capture more of our life’s memories!"
Samantha & Mitch
"Nicole shot our engagement photos in 2019, our wedding in 2020, my maternity photos in 2021, and our family pictures in 2022. Nicole is amazing in every session and season in life. She’s not only your insanely talented photographer but a therapist, a guide, a treasure in every step of your journey. She’s easy to get a long with, relatable and just a wonderful human in every way. We love her dearly and recommend her to everyone."
Carly & Matt
“We honestly can’t say enough good things about our wedding photographer. Believe it or not it was the first time I met Nicole and it felt like having a close friend around, not just someone there to take pictures. Nicole made being in front of the camera natural and fun. We were laughing, relaxed, and just genuinely happy. Of course our photos most definitely reflect that. Every moment she captured feels real, not staged, and looking back at them brings us right back to how the day felt.
If you’re looking for someone who’s not only talented but also a blast to be around on your big day, this is your person. We’re beyond grateful.”
Dan & Breanne
“Thank you so much for capturing every special moment on our wedding day. The day was so busy that if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t remember half of it! Beautifully done! I can’t stop looking at them!
And also, my whole family was talking about how great you were! My nana especially haha. You are so much more than a photographer! And anyone who gets the change to work with you will see that and appreciate it so much!”
Taylor & Zach
“Nicole I’m speechless and crying at your photos. They are so perfect. You absolutely nailed it. I have chills! I just wanted to tell you how much we love them and everyone keeps giving me compliments. They are honestly better than I could have imagined Nicole!”
Erin & Justin
“Nicole, I don’t even know where to begin. I am not a cryer, but I am crying at work. These are so beautiful, I can’t thank you enough. We picked the best team on the planet to capture our wedding!!! Again, thank you!!! If ANYONE asks for a recommendation, only your business will come out of my mouth. Even if people don’t ask for it, haha.”
Tori & Cory
“Nicole was amazing!!!! Her and her second photographer were sweet and helpful from start to finish of this process! She eased my nerves and truly had my back. She treated me as a friend instead of just another client and it meant the world!! She went above and beyond by making sure I had enough to eat and drink throughout the day as well! She made sure on our rainy wedding day to have umbrellas (I forgot them) in order to make sure pictures happened as they should! Not sure what I would have done without her! The photos turned out amazing and she took care of every little thing I had concerns about to truly make sure I was happy! If I had to do it again.. I’d book her no doubt! My husband and I both love her.”
Tory & Brett
“Nicole is a dream of a human to work with. She is easy going, intuitive, and truly an artist. I wouldn't have chosen anyone else to capture me and my man the way she did. 11/10 recommend."
